We believe if every American who is concerned (panicked) by what is currently happening in state and federal government steps up and does something, it will be an avalanche of civic involvement not seen in decades. Voting is no longer enough!

It is our country and our government, it’s time the true Patriots who understand the dream of our Founding Fathers took control back from the 1% before we won’t be able to.

You don’t have to do everything on this list, but please try them and find out what works for you and keep at it!

What can you do?

Every day more and more citizens are getting involved. The amazing Indivisible Guide has a map of groups near you. If you haven’t already done so, please join a resistance group today.

Go to your neighborhood Legislative District meetings. You can find your LD number and your representatives and senator at Open States. Consider becoming a Precinct Committeeperson (PC). The great AZBlue2020 grassroots group has a detailed explanation of what a PC does.

Speak Out

Locally

Our representatives need to know what’s important to us. They, in theory, act for us.

    1. Find our what our representatives are up to. One great resource is the grassroots publication created by Melinda Merkel Iyer — the Arizona Weekly Legislative Update. This online publication explains upcoming bills and tracks them through the sausage grinder that is our state legislature. Armed with this knowledge you can use the state’s Request to Speak (RTS) system to make your position known.
    2. Use the RTS system! Once you do it a few times it is easy. And it works! For a complete guide to the RTS system including how to get started please look over the RTS guide created in-part by another inspiring group: Civic Engagement Beyond Voting.
    3. Use the new Arizona Action Alert text messaging system. The system will send you a text message when important bills are moving through the legislature. Directions are in the blue graphic below or in the right side bar depending on your screen size. Please give it a try!
Nationally
